Anushka started modeling in 2017 for Wendell Rodricks Les Vamps Show. Also, she was selected for the spring collection Summer 2007, by Rodricks. After her modeling debut at Lakme Fashion Week Anushka did numerous campaigns for various brands, n she has done campaigns for their Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry as well as Fiat Palio etc. Anushka Sharma alongside her modelling career joined an acting school and began giving auditions to movies. It received mixed reviews. Anushka Sharma was the lead in the movie "Band Baaja Baraat. She portrayed a Punjabi woman in the middle class, who has her own wedding business. It was a surprise hit with a lot of praise. The Band Baaja Baaraat anushka's three-film contract under Yash Raj Films banner was complete.
